We spent a wonderful week in La Perode. Lots of room for the three “mini families” within our group and Harry (our fab Springer Spaniel) has been kept amused by all the grounds. Although it has been rather wet we have still enjoyed the pool and eating out at the BBQ area. Annie & Alec have been superb hosts and helped us to explore the area. We hope to return soon.

Having just returned from a 2 week family get together I can wholeheartedly recommend La Perode. It is an attractive, well appointed and spacious property, which by virtue of the layout and 3 bathrooms (with hot water 24hrs a day) allows everyone their own space. The (safely enclosed) pool area is quite exceptional and with a large covered dining area, BBQ, kitchen, toilet and shower it is very easy to spend the whole day there. The owners Alec and Annie are friendly, accommodating and discreet. The property is well placed for exploring the upper Dordogne and for a small village it’s possible to get some really good food in nearby Rouffignac. Excellent value - you won’t be disappointed.

Have spent a wonderful two weeks enjoying the facilities at La Perode and the surrounding area. Much eating, drinking, swimming and card playing has been enjoyed. The pool kitchen is a wonderful facility and the boys got very competitive over the table tennis. We’ve had a fantastic time. Excellent hosts Alec & Annie on hand to help. We hope to be back next year.

Thanks to Alec and Annie for being so helpful. We had a lot of great fun in the pool. At night we went out and saw the stars. We also saw the Milky Way and we saw some shooting stars. It’s a wonderful house, so much room! Thanks again.

A wonderful house, we loved the alfresco dining. The pool area was great and the sun loungers so comfy! The whole area has lots to do and see. We did a lovely bike ride, cheap bike hire from the (local) campsite. Thank you for a warm welcome and good luck with the rest of the renovation project.

Thank you so much – we have had a wonderful time. The pool is perfect for the mixed age range and the facilities are excellent all round. The area is perfect for walking / cycling and touring. Definitely recommend the canoeing / kayaking centres (several within 40 min. drive) – a real highlight. Local caves worth a visit too. All you need in local town – great Wednesday (night) market, butcher and boulangerie. Alec & Annie great hosts – ever so kind and helpful. Hope to be back in future and will be recommending to family and friends. Thanks so much.

Thank you Alec & Annie for a fabulous holiday. We loved the house – all clean and fresh and plenty of room for all of us. But the pool area was just superb! The kitchen up there was the thing that made it. We were SO lucky with the weather and the storm on the last night will give us something to remember. It really was a fabulous holiday and I know you are going to be very successful with your venture. We have gone on holiday as two families often over the years and this will stand out as one of the best! Many, many thanks.

Loved the house, loved the area – lots to do and see. Don’t miss the Lascaux caves and the view from Domme was amazing. Sarlat also worth a visit. But when the sun is shining there is nothing better than lounging by the pool. Thanks a lot.

We had a wonderful stay at La Perode and couldn’t have asked for anything more from Alec et Annie. The pool area was excellent and we made full use of the outdoor kitchen which is very well equipped. We visited the local Rouffignac market on Sunday, which was a good experience and offers nice fresh produce. Les Eyzies was a great place to visit and has a really interesting prehistoric museum. There is so much to do in the local area but we enjoyed the villa and pool so much that we spent the majority of our time relaxing in the first-class facilities.Thank you.
